Perno table
The Perno table is a simple and rustic table made of chestnut wood. My main focus when creating it was to simplify the design as much as possible while displaying the joints that bring the different pieces together.
Though joints serve a functional purpose, they can also be beautiful aesthetical features. Similarly to a clockwork mechanism, they offer a window into how an object was made. I am particularly fascinated by joints that achieve their functional purpose in a minimalist way while maintaining visual harmony. The Perno table was an attempt to balance these two aspects together.
